Diode-pumped Yb:SSO chirped pulse amplifier with 1 ps pulse duration

We demonstrate a diode-pumped picosecond Yb-doped silicate Yb3+:Sc2SiO5 (Yb:SSO) chirped pulse amplifier. The seed source with a pulse width of 220 fs is a diode-pumped Yb:KGW femtosecond oscillator. Ultranarrow bandwidth tunable atomic filter via quantum interference-induced polarization rotation in Rb vapor

We report the experimental demonstration of an ultranarrow bandwidth atomic filter by optically induced polarization rotation in multilevel electromagnetically induced transparency systems in hot Rb vapor. We present a down-looking synthetic aperture imaging ladar demonstrator and its experiments over 1.2 km in the field. The achieved imaging resolution is in agreement with the theoretical design, and the resulting two-dimensional image is satisfied.   We demonstrate a narrowband optical filter which operates on the 52S1/2 to 52P3/2 transition at 780 nm in rubidium vapor based on optical-pumping-induced dichroism combined with Faraday anomalous dispersion effects.
