Introduction
Chinese Optics Letters invites authors to submit original manuscript submissions for the Focus Issue on Biophotonics
to be published in December 2008
. Optical techniques are revolutionizing and making insignificant impacts in the field of bio-medical imaging, sensing and diagnostics. Various optical imaging techniques such as endoscopic confocal microscope and optical coherence tomography provide high resolution 3-D images of biological tissues. Various optical sensing techniques are being used in biomedical applications to provide highly sensitivity trace gas and chemical analysis. And these imaging and sensing techniques help to better diagnose various diseases. We welcome submissions from a variety of topics within the biophotonics area from the basic science to the clinical trial level. Example of specific topics and issues to be covered are: optical imaging techniques, non-invasive optical diagnostics, laser tissue treatment, optical bio-sensors, optical biomedical instrumentation, etc..
Submission deadline:
September 15, 2008
Submission format: Authors should use the Latex or MS-Word style files. For more details, please visit and upload the submission at the website of COL:
